Are xBox or PS3 eventually getting Wii-style motion-controllers?
I read a rumor somewhere that Microsoft was developing a motion-based controller for the xBox 360 to imitate Wii’s success, but I cannot find references to that rumor anymore. Can anyone direct me to any articles or news reports that suggest Microsoft or Sony are developing a Wii-style motion controller?

I doubt Microsoft is making one. It just isn’t their style. They typically go for raw computing power and graphics, no gimmicks. Nintendo, on the other hand, is famous for unique gameplay, even to the point of seeming lame or fruity, till you play them and get hooked. PS3 just copies everyone, badly, I might add.
PS3 already has the Sixaxis controller and Home is coming out copying the Mii’s and 360′s achievment points. There are so many limits right now with the Wii, I can’t be assured that this is the future.
Playstation 3 already has the SIXAXIS controller, which is what I like to call "the Sony Wii-mote."
If you go to http://www.ign.com and seach for Tony Hawk, and click on the link for the PS3 version, there is a video fo some guy talking about the SIXAXIS. Basically, instead of pressing directions, you tilt the controller up, down left and right, essentially allowing you to play with one hand.
Xbox360, however is a mystery to me. Right now, if someone were to ask me to give them a definite answer I would say no.
I don’t think Microsoft would make any major changes as of now, because if you look up Xbox 360 Elite, you will see that the only difference is the color of the system, the size of the Hard Drive and the HDMI cables that come with it.
I think the only changes with Xbox 360 as of now will lay in the hands of the game developers. They will keep making improvements on the games they produce so that they can fully utilize the Xbox 360s hardware to its fullest potential.
i don’t think SONY or MICROSOFT wants to get involve with fruitcakes like Wii lovers
