How do you get your baby on the bottle?
Now before you go judging me. My baby is going to be 6months in a couple weeks. Ive done nothing but breastfeed all the way. I would love to get back into work but cant because she refuses to take the bottle whether its breast-milk or formula! i have tried many kinds of of different bottles with different teats including the ones that imitate a real breast. I’m running out of options and was wondering if any body has and tips or ways for success in getting my lil one to take a bottle.
tried the sippy cup. she can drink out of it but chokes because the flows to quick. thanks for the good feedback.

Hi, i have taken 2 kids from breast to bottle and it is not easy but it takes persistance. first of all use the same kind of nipple. I found that the playtex nurser was the best. Your baby is going to be stubborn and want the breast but you must not give in. After they take 2 ounces of the bottle, then give the breast. Let them cry until they take the bottle. Having the baby go 4-6 hours or so without eating will not harm them. You might want to try having daddy or someone else do the bottle that way they know, they MUST take the bottle with that person. It will take a few days of constant working but they will eventually take it.

just keep trying with one bottle that seems to be the right choice for the baby. Dont comprimise as much as try to get your baby on the bottle. Eventually the baby will have to one way or another. Maybe use the bottle that worked the bst out of all of them with a sweeter formula to catch the baby’s attention to somthing new and good tasting.
Six months is old enough to see if she might prefer a sippy cup to a bottle. It might be worth a try.
Many babies won’t take a bottle from their mother, but will take it from someone else when she’s not around.
I used these…

They were the only bottle my baby would take when I needed to transition to a bottle so I could go back to work. They work because of the double nipple system. They have to both suck and compress, more like breastfeeding than any other bottle. They can be found at Babies R Us or on sites like Ebay. They helped keep me breastfeeding even after going back to work. Good luck!
dont give her your breast when she gets hungry. when she gets real hungery she will take anything you give her. it sounds like you give into her everytime. it should only take a day or two and she will just want the bottle.
